I believe that through art we bear witness to one another, we make the unseen seen and the invisible visible. We acknowledge the movement of energy throughout the precious life on this planet.   My work is intense and personal, whether the subject is people, places or a philosophy that has stopped me in my tracks.  I work primarily with watercolor, extending it with collage, ink resist, acrylic as the subject demands. As an Art Therapist I'm continually amazed by the power of art to express and contain the deepest musings of our hearts.

Patty Van Dyke's studio is in Ojai. She is a Signature Member of the California Gold Coast Watercolor Society, a member of The Santa Barbara Art Association, The Los Padres Watercolor Society, SCIART,and The Society of Layerists in Multi-Media, as well as a Registered Art Therapist with a private practice in Ventura. She and Joyce Lombard, another artist/therapist, have collaborated to create Innerplay Studio which offers workshops in expressive arts, many providing CEUs for MFTs and LCSWs.
